To celebrate the launch of our Human Rights Unit, here is a free gift: a self-contained lesson on the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The lesson has a rather nice graphic to elicit existing knowledge, a link to a fine TED-Ed video, a chance to interact a little with the text of the declaration, and a Kahoot to look at examples of rights violations.

After introducing students to the UN UDHR and conflicting perspectives on it, the unit goes on to guide students to complete an existing Team Project, developing skills both for collaboration and for writing the Reflective Paper. Access the full unit via the Out of the Box contents page.
