If you have students taking their exams in March or May we’ll bet you wish you had more than the one specimen paper for the 2025 spec, don’t you? There are several minor changes, and a whole new question type. Your students have probably seen the official 2025 specimen paper from CAIE (online if not from you), so what can you use for a mock exam? To solve this problem, we have rewritten a past paper, insert and mark scheme to reflect all the changes we’ve observed in the 2025 specimen.
The Insert has five sources rather than the usual four, to accommodate the new question type 2(a), but otherwise, this paper is very similar to the official 2025 Specimen Paper. It is based on the winter 2023 zone 3 paper about cybercrime.
Erratum: Question 1b(i) referred incorrectly to Source 2. It should have referred to Source 3. Updated 16th January 11:50 UTC. Apologies for this error. Please let us know if you spot any other issues.
